I just realized I’ve been MIA from the blog since November. It’s amazing how much has transpired since then. Our gym, 1960 CrossFit is growing. Our athletes continue making amazing progress. I’m finally healing from July’s car wreck; both emotionally and physically. Overall, our life is blessed.
This weekend, we had a team compete at Border Wars IV. They worked their arses off and placed 12th overall. Their best performance was on WOD 2:
WOD 2: “MOUNTAIN PHASE” (TEAM OF 4 ONLY)
15 MIN CUT OFF
2 RDS EACH ATHLETE
1 ROPE CLIMB
5 WALL WALKS
THEN…
60 1 DB SNATCHES (50/35)(AS A TEAM)
400 M DB RUN (50/35) (RUN TOGETHER AS A TEAM, ARMS LENGHT)
MAX ROPE CLIMBS
They ended up finishing 4th overall on that WOD with 23 max rope climbs at the end. I was elated!
To Byron, Sharde, Fido, & Jacky:
Thank you for all your hard work and for representing 1960 CrossFit so well. Even more importantly, I thank you all for exhibiting unconditional love and support. It was an eventful weekend, and I couldn’t ask for better people with whom to share the experiences.
Enjoy a couple of rest days, but don’t get completely out of the competitive head space. The Open starts in just a couple of weeks 🙂
Much love,
Coach Liani
It’s all do to great coaching and working together for a common purpose to improve our lives physically, mentally, spiritually and our relationships with others. I feel truly blessed to know everyone at the box and I’m looking forward to seeing how much further we are going to all grow!
Much love & Outlaw,
Byron
Welcome Back!
