
One thing I love about CrossFit is how I am consistently humbled. Last Friday, I felt awesome doing “Cindy.” Today I felt weak and tired, like a ’57 Chevy running on fumes.
The workout was:
15 Thrusters 135/95
15 Pull ups
21 Thrusters 95/65
21 Pull ups
36 Thrusters 65/45
36 Pull ups
It took me 17 minutes and 28 seconds to finish this WOD. I didn’t do it as prescribed. I did the first round at 65 lbs, the second round at 65 lbs, and the 3rd round at 45 lbs. I went from repping out 60 pull-ups on Friday to only being able to do 3 today. I ended up using the blue band (a giant rubber band that assists the pull-ups at the bottom) for all the pull ups.
I felt totally defeated after the workout today. It’s okay, though. I know they can’t all be winners. I know tomorrow is a new day, and I can’t wait!
