“Eva”
5 rounds for time:
800 m run
30 2 pood (72 lbs) kettlebell swings
30 pull ups
I attempted “Eva” for the first time today. I was humbled. To anyone who can do this WOD as prescribed, my hat goes off to you. I made it through 3 rounds in 26:27, swinging a 25 lb kettlebell, and quickly moving from pull-ups to assisted pull-ups to jumping pull-ups.
It was 100 degrees outside with high humidity. I thought I was going to be the first to break in the puke bucket. Luckily, my water stayed down. I have mad respect for all the athletes who competed in the CrossFit Regionals; however, my admiration for those who competed in the South Central region intensified after today. They performed 2 WOD’s a day over the course of three days in 110 degree weather. Just sick!
I’m okay with my performance today. I tried my best and that’s what matters. I know there’s always room for improvement. I also know with CrossFit I’ll never get bored, and for someone with serious ADHD, that’s an amazing feat!
